Can I kiss this guy I like?

I've liked this guy since August (pitiful, I know XD). We haven't really talked (my shyness...and the fact that he seems to ignore me every time I come near him) and school is about to end. Would it be too weird to spontaneously kiss him? I probably won't, but it's nice to know. c:
